This article tests the thesis of the dominant thinking in textual criticism that harmonisations are a major feature of Codex Bezae. It presents the 70 so-called harmonising variants in the Gospel of Matthew according to Nestle-Aland's critical apparatus, whose analysis rather suggests that they are probably no harmonisations, or at least that they depend on the way in which the edited text is approached.
