Indeed, Christ, a true man, lived through all the ages of life, including that of master, a quality that is only acquired in one's fifties. Irenaeus bases himself in particular on Jn 8:57. To refute the arguments of the Docets, Irenaeus did not hesitate to overturn the traditional chronology.
