‘Car la lettre tue, or l’esprit vivifie’ (2 Co 3,6). Variations sur l’histoire du texte et sa lecture

 = Paper =

by Céline ROHMER and François VOUGA, in PINCHARD L. and HAELEWYCK J.-C.

Céline Rohmer and François Vouga propose six free variations on the exposition of the Pauline hermeneutical theme according to which the spirit gives life where the letter kills (2 Cor 3:6). Adopting the approach of literary criticism, they invite us to visit six authors of the NT who have left traces in their texts of a recreation of the letter in order to draw out an emancipating meaning of truth, thus tasting the work of rewriting the Acts of the Apostles, the epistle to the Hebrews, Paul's epistle to the Galatians, the first epistle attributed to Peter, the gospel of John and that of Matthew.
